When the announcement of demonetization shook the nation, rendering old Indian currency notes worthless overnight, a profound realization unfolded. These notes, once held with value and significance, suddenly became mere pieces of paper, devoid of worth. In response, our notes series emerged, embracing the idea of temporariness and impermanence, drawing parallels between the transitory nature of currency and the enduring essence of ceramics. Like a reflection of the past, we "demonetized" the vibrant and colourful currency of today, presenting a thought-provoking vision of a future where our current monetary system has lost all value and significance. In stark contrast, ceramics, renowned for their durability and resilience, stand as enduring symbols of ancient civilizations.

Thus, our inspiration lies in showcasing the timeless nature of ceramics, while simultaneously exploring the impermanence of materialism. This commentary goes beyond mere political discourse, urging us to contemplate the transient nature of our possessions and embrace the enduring legacy of art.

FORM

Inspired by the captivating world of paper art, our journey led us to explore the realm of Origami, infusing our ceramic pieces with the essence of this ancient Japanese art form. Delving into the realm of origami-inspired design, we have carefully crafted these pieces to exude a sense of rigidity and flatness, resembling the sharp creases of folded paper.
